Intermarche does sell some bedding and towels, not a huge stock but probably enough to give you a start.

You may not feel like it on arrival, but stopping off at Algarve Shopping in Guia, on the way from the airport, you will find Conforama very convenient to pick up towels and bedding galore. There's a couple of shops in that complex which looked very well stocked last time I was there.

Otherwise, yes, Intermarche do sell a small range of towels and linen, but every time I've been they only have 3 sets of this color or 1 set of another color - i.e. hard to furnish a villa in one go.

As I said Intermarche would only have towels, bedlinen etc to give you a start on arrival. If you want to get good selection of towels, sheets, bedspreads etc. it is worth a look in the Factory Outlet and Linen Shop in Alvor Tel 282 457 510

What about Continente in The Algarve shooping centre, it always has a good selection of reasonably priced towels and linens in a variety of colours and sizes. you could also pick up food items at the same time. Liz

Which of those places is easiest to get to coming from the airport to Cvo? My OH will not want to stop for long so ideally something that I could run into and buy a few bits and out again would be perfect. Are they open late into the evening?

Conforama is dead easy, it's on a little retail park just to the right of the Algarve shopping centre & you can park right outside. :D

Conforma is in a small retail park on the lefthand side of the N 125 coming from Faro just after Giua. It is just to the right of The Algarve Shopping Centre, and pooersite Makro. Liz

We furnished our appartment almost exclusively with what we could find within a 20 min drive of albufeira. Conforama, continente, Makro ( UK card acepted ),mestre maco plus some excelent shops in Loule.
No problems and great fun.
