Language Lessons

Post by Globetrotter »

Hi all,
I need to find a Portuguese teacher. I am an advanced beginner and would like to continue learning the language. Does anyone know of a teacher who has availability during the day, preferably twice/week? Evenings don´t work at all.

Also, I wouldn´t mind teaming up with like minded souls for some learning accompanied by fun.

Thanks!

Hi,
there is a Portuguese lady called Patricia who teaches at the tennis club. She is a trained teacher and very good.

Hi
I was reliably informed that there was someone who taught Portuguese in Lagoa and this person paid you 5 euros per lesson. Unfortunately, because I don't live over there so wouldn't be able to pursue this, I didn't look into it any further. Perhaps there are others who may know more about this service

Well, I think you must be in some kind of parallel universe! I am sure that when receiving tuition it is the student that pays, not the tutor.

Good luck with your quest though.

I would suggest that you contact Aryan Ribeiro Van Zanten of Easylearn on 966866561 or easylearn@iol.pt. He has premises at the top of the out road near the moterbike rental shop. He is a good technical teacher but he also aims to make the lesson fun. I go there a couple of times a week in the afternoon.

He will operate with individuals or small groups.

I confirm Patricia is an excellent, professional teacher and would recommend her highly. You can find her at the Tennis Club most afternoons.

I don't think I deserved your comment. I am very much in the same universe as everybody else, that is unless it is you that is somewhere in an alternate reality. I was just reporting what I had heard while I was over in CVO, I certainly wasn't saying it was true or that I knew anything other than I had stated. I also feel that if there is someone offering money to students for Portuguese lessons, then everyone should be aware of it.
Don't forget, if it is true, there may be someone on the forum who may know more information and who may like to share that information.

Kind Regards

Karen Ann

I take your comments on board, but please don't be so naive!
One thing in this life is for sure, there is no such thing as a free lunch!

I can only imagine that there was skuldugery afoot somewhere along the lines!

Perhaps your right Nix, the point is, I wasn't looking for any lessons, so where's the skullduggery?
And I do agree, there is no such thing as a free lunch ~ or is there?!
It's just as easy to say, never say never!!
