Renting Villas for 10 days not 7

Is it just weekly or does any body offer this?

I have a 4 bed villa and rent flexibly (within reason!). What are you looking for and when.

Usually weekly. It really depends when you want to book, Out of the high season there are no problems with pro-rata days.

I beleive that one of the reasons we have a high booking rate is that we do NOT stick to any fixed transfer days ( eg sat or thursday ) and will also book any number of nights.

The price charged reflects this in high season so we do not lose out.

Business is about flexibility and service.

No. Business is about PROFIT. Flexibility and service are merely "tactics" to achieve that goal.

With flights arriving in Algarve seven days a week, these are very intelligent tactics and more and more property owners are adapting to this. Just ask.

I also operate on a flexible basis....I also look at the most advantageeous flights for my clients. I therefore encourage clients to book Thursday to Thursday. Im flexible early on, but once we get into High Season I stick to Thursday/Thursday.
Another reason for not offering Sat or Sun changeovers is that maids expect double time for working Sat or Sun.

Bottom line??? You do what suits your own business plan....and yes, you do need to have one, however informal

Most of the owners we booked with in the past have been flexible, & the people we have coming out wish to avoid the Thursday/Saturday change overs like the plague.

I am always happy to allow flexible booking. Especially when an extra day or two tagged on to a week or fortnight can result in a lower flight cost for my visitors and make it worth their (and mine) while to stay a bit longer and pay less for flights.
