taxi's !!!
taxi's !!!
Can anyone tell me would I be able to get a Taxi after falling out of the pub in Albufeira back to Carvoeiro after closing time and most especially how much would it cost. (note - I am talking off-season as I know taxi's are almost impossible at present)
I have just returned from 2 weeks in Carv and the queue especially at night to get taxi's is half way up restaurant hill so my advise if you are going any time soon is hire a car. You will wait at least half an hour and more for a taxi in August.

Don,t assume that the queues in Albufeira will be any less.
From Easter onwards it is very difficult to get a taxi in Albufeira during the busy times
7.00pm - 3.00 am.
AS for cost have heard figures in the region of 30 euros each way.
( probably depends how " relaxed " you are when booarding the taxi. )

taxis in CVO
Can anyone advise me of any english speaking taxi companies / drivers. Some of my family are going out CVO in september and they won't/can't hire a car. I am concerned that they will be restricted in what they do and see without a reliable taxi contact.
Help !!

Porterreno Tours is a good one - Simon is very good and can supply minibus's and English speaking drivers.

I agree Rich, Simon from Terreno Tours, always used him this past 3 years, excellent. 45 Euros from Faro to CVO. May not be the cheapest but certainly very reliable. it's always been 45 EUROS (one way)
