Monte santo

Post by HampshireRich »

Can anyone tell me whereabouts the new Monte Santo development is. I am coming back to Monte Carvoeiro in July and am concerned that it may be impacting on where I stay.

This development is actually in the Mato Sereo area, behind Villa Nova, and thus a long way from Monte Carvoeiro. In addition, the developers seem to have fenced themsleves in quite well and the disruption even to near neighbours is actually quite small.

Enjoy your stay in Monte Carvoeiro, and don't let this worry you at all.

Belated thanks for this Richard. I had a look at the development whilst I was in Monte CVO - its massive but not sure I would like to stay there - too far from the sea for my liking

Totally agree with the last comment - we were walking in that area in April and to us it seemed miles away from the sea and the town.

Much prefer the area where we stay- Rocha Brava.

Soon be the 24th and we will be back in the glorious sunshine.

not sure I agree that Monte Santo is too far from town, its less than a 10 minute walk much nearer than Rocha Brava, but I do agree with richard, the noise is suprisingly minimal. in fact I've been sat on my patio behind the development all day and even though they are working I can't hear a thing

We spend half our year on Quinta do Paraiso, and agree with tricky that the development has proceded without too much hastle for the neighbours. It is also moving quickly, which makes a change from our nearest development the "Golden Club". Look forward to it being finished, and hopefully the area will be fully developed. It always seems from reading the posts that you either become an eastside ( sorry biffa) person or westside, and then will stick to it. Everyone to their own.

Our build is just down the hill from Monte Santo not too far from Roy and a few others.
We have yet to establish our preferences fo places to eat and drink, nor have we found the " short cuts " into town.
Are we east or west siders ??
