Worst takeaway ever
I've eaten some bad stuff in my time, especially when serving abroad in the RAF but the takeaway from the Trattoria on QDP has got to rate with the worst. The pizza tasted of like cardboard and was partly cooked. The chips were still frozen and the service was less than brilliant.
Perhaps I should have known better as this was the place we saw the paramedics wheeling out the dead body last October.

I can award the Trattoria on QDP with 'the worst meal I have ever eaten' award - not just in Carvoeiro but ever, anywhere in the world.
Bruschetta was bread and butter with a slice of tomato on top, pizzas were either cold or burnt (or both!), we were ignored by staff after the main courses arrived, no offer of dessert or coffee - although we probably wouldn't have ordered either anyway. Absolutely awful, and such a shame as it is walking distance for us

Isn't that one "Mistral"?PPic wrote:Is this the resteraunt with the large olive tree in the middle. If so we always spend our arrival night there can't say I have never had a bad meal there or had any complaints about the service....
Infact I have spent the last two weeks thinking about it while looking
out the window at the rain.

Apologies for my dimness Laserlaserblazer wrote:The one I'm talkine about is immediately opposite the QDP pool area.
Mistral
Slightly off this topic but the Mistral got a mention on it. Went there the other night and enjoyed it very much. The staff are doing a good job and offering an ambience different to other places. Food generally good and plentiful. Bill reasonable.

Re: Mistral
Couldn't agree more, Biffa. I was delighted to find it was back to its best, and with decent music on Fridays and good service too. We last went there two years ago and it had really gone downhill which was disappointing as it used to be one of our favourites.biffa wrote:Slightly off this topic but the Mistral got a mention on it.
