Has anyone been to the slambar?? how do you rate it? is it generally popular during the summer months?

Having been going to Carvoeiro for about 20 years I do like to think that I either know of or have been to most places in the area. However I have to admit that I have never heard of this one!

It is almost next door to the Cocktail Garden - and that is probably the problem!

Slam Bar Mentioned here; plus, On this site:"Great postcard shot here Shaun! Bizarrely, about a hundred yards to the left or so of where you took this photo there is a bar and restuarant complex. In it there is a bar called the Slam Bar - which is run by my prospective brother-in-law! You have big brownie points from my intended and many thanks for brightening her day!"

The Slambar is in Monte Carvoeiro (top of the hill). This particular bar has had many owners over the last 15 years or so and has never really taken off. Jassy, who was the last owner, and like myself a Southampton fan closed it last October and it has been up for sale ever since. I think the location is the real problem - as stated before it is near the hugely successful Cocktail Garden and now also Manoel´ jazz bar terrace. If anyone takes it on, then they will need to provide something different to make it a success.

thanks for the replies guys, sounds like the possible reason it is closed is because of lack of trade.
