Hi all. My wife and kids are travelling down for three weeks on Wednesday. The kids are up in arms about the fact that the new Harry Potter movie is out across Europe on Friday and they won't get to see it. I guess is will released in Portugal on the same date that it is released here in Ireland. Can anyone tell me if it is in english or would such a film be subtitled in Portugal. Secondly where is best to watch it. Would I need to travel to Portimao or does the large shopping centre up at zoo marine have a cinema.
I will be travelling down on the following Wednesday so warn the locals to stock up on Magners by the crate

All the films are in English and have Portuguese subtitles. Sometimes when a popular film is released they show it on more than one screen and occasionally one version might be in Portuguese so if this is the case you'd have to specifically ask for the English version. Algarve Shopping up past Zoomarine has got a large cinema. Enjoy!

Thanks for you help Helen. Do you find the subtitles off putting when viewing a film in Portugal or do they not affect the overall enjoyment of the film. I know subtitles on a normal television are a bit of a pain and I can imagine that they will be lot bigger on the large screen ???
