according to mum and dad who live there, nobody will pay for the entertainment so there wont be any! In past terms the local bars have paid for the acts. At time of writing there isnt even a stage erected in the square.
Seems daft to me as the only reason my family and I dine, eat and attend the square is because of the entertainment.
Take that away and you may as well go to one of the bars on the strip and pay cheaper prices.
Heres hoping somebody will get their act together and organise something.

that would be a great shame. As you say, people pay a premium to eat in the square - business will be lost and the restaurants I usually go to will no doubt be busier!!!

I agree, business would surely be better for the surrounding restaurants and there was always a great atmosphere around the square when the musicians were there.

That's a shame. It was lovely to have a great meal and then enjoy the entertainment in the square. I was there for the last 2 weeks and the square was so quiet in the evening. Reminded me more of a February weekend rather than the end of May.

We were sat at the tapas bar a couple of nights ago and there was a show of some sorts going on but I couldn't quite see what it was, but obviously there is some entertainment now.

We were in the square one evening last week with the children and there was a fire eater putting on a show. It only lasted for about 1/2 hr but gave the children some amusement. He collected his Euro from the audience. There was also a couple of guys playing guitar earlier. All very nice really.

Just got back today after a week away. Nothing on in the square all week although Elvis was good in the adjoining hotel!
I spoke to the waiters who told me the stage and entertainment will be starting in the square in 2 weeks.

Rumours

Post by SJ & RE »

Well it looks like the rumour mungerers like 2 add 2 it all.
G's comments from parents saying no entertainment this season, then 2 be followed up by herself saying she has been told, all will start soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 me it looks like 'wait n see what happens'.
No doubt all will be revealed by post on here when & what happens in the square by onlookers posting the previous nites entertainment.
I will look 4ward 2 hearing what entertainment has / will be on offer

Yes - on the basis that boys don't pay any attention to what their parents tell them. I believe that baggysallyjane is a hermaphrodite :D
