Sapo internet access - Good bad or indifferent?

Post by jimmyp »

Hi all

Have just got back to UK from a short break in CVO and need some more advice on Internet access please - Sorry if I sound like I am only interested in this but it is important to me :)

Was given a very good price by PT to install a phone line and to have adsl line access - 25€ to install the line to include modem and phone and then around 10€ a month line rental. Sapo internet has a pay as u go tariff as well which would best suit as I will only be in CVO for around 6 to 8 weeks a year. In a previous post someone said that SAPO was useless for internet - Has anyone else got experience of them - Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Cheers

James

Hi Lesley

Can I ask wot speed adsl connection have u got? As I said in the post am looking at just using the pay as u go one which is 128/256 - not that quick I guess but as we are only going to be there for about 2 months of the year is the most cost effective way.

Cheers

 aghhhhhh.... too technical for me, will have to ask the other half, I do remember in conversations that we are meant to have 8 "something" on the line but only get 4, although we have just had to line upgraded so hopefully we will be up to speed now.

Does that help any?????? sorry when it comes to the technical side I haven't got a clue. As long as I can switch my laptop on and the wireless is working I am happy !!! 8) :?
