has anyone ever spotted anyone famous in cvo, i'm sure some of you have it would be interesting to see who has seen the most famous person in or around the town.

Quite a few years ago now, I saw most of the group Queen eating in Galé...I can't remember if that was before or after Freddie passed on.

Also seen Kim Wild in one of the bars...again a long time ago...

I also drove the two actors from Dempsey & Makepeace (80's cop show) with their daughter to Sesmarias somewhere...(I run an airport transfer company)...

Also met Sir Cliff in Lagoa..

This was all quite a while ago now, but I did hear a rumour (probably nothing more than that) Ralph Schumaker has bought a villa on Presa da Moura??

I sat next to Chris Evans on a flight from Stansted to Faro..he was with some mates and they were all pretty friendly, offering me crisps etc.

and a long way back,during our residensia period we met the late Ken Wood in Smilers bar a few times. The first time was our first Christmas in Algarve and he was at the bar and bought us a drink.

My gardening friend,who was also a tennis coach, played regular tennis with Cliff Richard.

I believe someone wrote here(some time back) that Marty Wilde was seen walking in Lagoa.

How about American film maker 'Joan Lemmo', who I met in Lagoa at the 'Classique 21 ' restaurant...quite a local character I believe?
I still get an email, or online card from her now and then

Then theres Jenny Grainer who writes for 'The News' (office in Lagoa), Ive met her couple times. Her late husband Ron Grainer composed the music for 'Doctor Who' and 'Steptoe and Son' and others..

Last May, James Nesbitt was on the large round sunlounger with an assortment of children and family. He participated in playing bat and ball and squealed like a girl in the rather cold sea.

Yes, I have had the previlege to meet some of these people who have chosen Carvoeiro, for their holiday or own a property.
Ken Wood and family spent many holidays here.
Lulu and and M. Gibb on their honeymoon( 1969), I wish I had kept the polaroid photos, of themselves, they left in the garden of the villa.
Kim wilde dad Marty, who i still meet here.
Bryan Ferry who used to go to Centianes beach a lot, in the late 70`s.

A few years ago 'Fizz' from Corrie (I don't know her real name) was staying in CVO when we were there - she seemed the same bubbly person in real life as the character she plays.

(I suppose she counts as a 'celebrity'!)

Kelly I think you may be talking a little too soon. I do believe that there are a few teams Chelsea have to beat first. So don't hold your breath because I do think that Man U and Liverpool will have a say in this matter. After all we don't want any more trophies going south do we?
