HAPPYS

Post by James »

:( Food was undercooked, overpriced and you were rushed by a dutchman who kept on making funny comments (or so he thought)

Im suprised at the comments about the food, ive been there many many times and the food has always been first class as im sure many people will confirm, And ive never been rushed quite the opposite at the end of a great meal a complimentry drink follows to drink at my leisure, but each to thier own :?

hello there, I have been in Happy's many times. I personaly thing that the service is very good. The owner is treating you just like a human. And maybe because he is Dutch the jokes are not that funny for people from other countries. But why do you think the place is always packed!!! Because people love it there. I know everyone can have it's own opinion about food and service, but don't tell people to stay away from Happy's. If they don't try first they will never know. You can say whatever you like, but not everybody likes the same as you... so let people just make there own choices.

Food - Happys

We have been eating at Happy's for the past 5 years and find the food exceptional quality and exceptional value. Although you are spoilt for choice for eating places in Carvoeiro, Happy's is without a doubt one of our and I am sure many other people's favourites. Each unto their own though.

Another vote for Happys here. We go to Carvoeiro twice a year. 1 week in spring and 2 weeks in autumn.

Never miss eating at Happys.

Maybe he was having a bad day, we all do!!

Happys has always been in the top 2 of my favourites in CVO. You cannot fault the food, prices, atmosphere and the host.

However this time we noticed something not so good. The complimentary port often given at the end of a meal is poured from a jug behind the bar. Should the port not be finished by the customer, the remains are tipped back into the jug - even if the customer has drank some of it.

This put me off drinking the complimentary port - which for me is very unusual to refuse alcohol.

Henriëtte,
When you go from the square up-hill in the direction of Rocha Brava you'll find Happy's at the left side of the road just when you pass that terrible Pizzeria and the enjoyable Round-Up-Saloon; around the corner there are Maxim and the Carvoeiro Bar (Feijenoord)

Happy's is one of the reasons why we keep coming back to CVA. Overpriced - you must usually eat out of baked bean tins. Libbe is the friendliest guy in CVA and you always have to book to get in. This restaurant is top of the list!!!
