Casa do bife

Went there on Saturday with some friends up from Gibraltar. Excellent as usual.

I had a nice big T Bone as I need beefing up a bit and it was superb. Alvaro and his staff are doing a grand job.

 That cheese is fantastic - where do they buy it from? The waiter gave me a couple of cheeses to take back to the apartment on our last visit. Yummy.........

Roll on the 20th!

We went to this restaurant for the first time over Christmas & New Year, I shall be very honest ~ It was OK!! I'm sorry if I upset anyone for saying this, but I felt that it was nothing to write home about. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I didn't like it or enjoy the meal, what i am saying is that it was OK!!
I must say though if anyone does want to enjoy a superb fillet steak, they should try Columbos, fantastic.

Hi Karen Ann

I do agree with you. It was Ok when we went but no more than that.
Also it was very cramped. I am going to give it another go as it has had some great reviews from some members who's reviews are usually spot on. Maybe it was an off night.

Had four meals there last week - great as usual. John had the t-bone on one occasion - and even he could not finish it all. The stray cats near Rocha Brava enjoyed what was left! Extremely pleasant staff - we now have to wait until the 24th August for our next 'stone'!!

This is the best VALUE for money in the Village, we are always really happy and go at least twice a month, we had New Year Dinner with 12 family members before heading to the sq.
Best New Year we had in Years and they did not put the prices up...fingers crossed they open this year....
