I havent heard from anyone in Carvoeiro itself yet, but will let you know if I do. The sun has now come out, but we had to paddle through the flooding when we went out to check on our neighbours, some of who have had water into their homes.
Our place is on ADM and quite high so "should" be ok although the the gravel on the drive has probably washed down into the road. Not much chance of a water shortage next summer then. Best of luck in the clear up.
Yes Mike, believe you should be OK. No cars are being allowed into the centre of the village. The beach has been dumped into the square and the wooden huts are on their side according to friends' reports. There are GNR everywhere and many places have been flooded.
