Bonfire Night

Does anyone know whether anything is going on for Bonfire Night around Carvoeiro or the Algarve? I seem to think there were one or two events last year, but I didn't attend anything.

Are we allowed to light fires now ...anybody know what the rules are. I have a ton of wood to burn and Bonfire Night sounds a good time to do it.

I understand that there is going to be a big bonfirenight with fireworks at the Barlavento English School, as advertised in the Resident Whats on section.It says that the event starts at 6.30pm and the school is located on the main Lagos to Sagres road EN125 about 1km after the Praia da Luz turning.
