Anybody know about Terracas D Bengil?

After our disasterous attempt to purchase Terracos da Vigia via Parador Properties, we are visiting again next week to seek somewhere else to purchase for our retirement in the Autumn 2007. The above is a possibility? Any experiences or other suggestions would be appreciated.

Its in front of Vila Nova, on the road out past Monte Carvoeiro up to the Santa Maria Statue if you are going towards to the Lagoa road.
Part of it has been started, there are two phases and I understand that planning permission has been given for the first stage, but as yet not for the second. There is a five star hotel planned on the site also.
I have had the sales brochure, its expensive and very modern with lots of glass and minimilisation (!)
Not my scene, but who I'm I to comment.

When we first looked in at the Monte Santo sales office 15 months ago the 2bd town houses were 300k euro plus they are now over 400keuros.

AS we will be living just down the road it is some interest to us as from what we have sen there is nothing like it in the area.
If it succeeds it could bring a new ( Wealthier ) type of visitor, good news for the upmarket restaurants etc.
PLus third Pestana golf course now open nr silves.

What we need next is a traffic free centre ( at least after 6.00pm )

hello people...just came accross this topic now, Monte Santo resort. I live in Porches area, but come down to Carvoeiro often. I have been at the site office of Monte Santo.. the project is pretty much on the way, due completion end 2007.. the second phase has started already..there is planning permission not like in Golden Club where people are waiting for the "spa", "gym" and other facilities.. Monte Santo resort will have a main club house and the resort will be a Hilton Vacation Club Resort! Finally a five star world recognized name in Carvoeiro..this will definatelly benefit the area and it will create a lot of jobs and beauty to the place.. i will go there for lunches to enjoy the atmosphere if its nice of course.. check their website if you can find it.. the prices are of course higher than i expected, but the name pays for it i guess.. and the quality is way better of Portuguese standards.. thats the way construction should be done!
