Christmas Lunch venue

Post by blue »

I've been thinking of booking a table for Christmas lunch somewhere in Carvoeiro, the Val de Milho looks good but starts too early. Iv'e just seen the bojangles posting and that looks like fun & starts later, but I've been told by more than one person that the music in there is really geared to the teen age group & is played very loudly & that the seating is uncomfortable, as we will have older people (60-70yrs) with us I'm not sure this venue would be suitable. Anyone know if this is the case, or able to suggest other alternatives. :D

We had a great Christmas lunch at the O'Farol restaurant on the Rocha Brava complex a few years ago.

Only 4 weeks and we will be out there. :D

If i remember correctly there were 2 sittings for Christmas lunch at the O'Farol restaurant. Great place, good restaurant and food excellent.

Enjoy your Xmas,

We will be out there August and Christmas 2007 as well as in 4 weeks!!

I don't have the answer to your questions re Bojangles but I have booked to go there and have to say that having spoken with them they were very helpful and it sounds like they are making a real effort to put a good family day on. Given that the music is live and they are pitching at families I doubt you'll find it's the usual range of music you are worried about.

I suppose what I am trying to say is why not give them a ring, I'm sure they will be more than happy to answer your questions.

I got a pm from Steve who owns bojangles & he was very helpful, the seating is comfy sofa type & the music of the type played in Jailhouse & Roundup, so all sounds good. :D
