Childrens Home Alvor

Post by White Rabbit »

Hi I know this isnt a Carvoeiro concern specifically , but as I own a home here and have friends here I thought I would try plucking at your heart strings ( ok purse strings ) , dont panic , I am not asking you to leave your house to us. ( Us being Bom Samaritona Childrens Home ).

All I am asking is for some help with the childrens christmas boxes. Every year we collect shoe boxes containing essential things for the children , plus if people are generous little presents or sweets which fit into a normal sized shoe box. T

Usual the list contains things like , toothpaste , toothbrush, soap , shampoo , powder , pencils , pens , etc. At the moment there are about 36 children in this unique home.

The reason this home is special is because it is privately funded , with everyday hardworking people fundraising to help it. Special people look after the children along with volunteers.

The other special thing abot this home is that they do not seperate families , which is very rare , most homes split the children and send them in different directions.

The children here are happy and loved , please give them an extra bit of love this christmas , if you have 20 euros ( or less to spare ) , make up a shoe box for us.

Either we can be contacted through this site , or my mobile number which is 916450717.

Thanks

And an Early MERRY CHRISTMAS

it's very easy to fill a shoe box without noticing it, I just add a couple of extra things to my shopping and by Christmas I've filled it. If White Rabbit is who I think she is, she'll have a list of names and ages so you can "pick" your child and buy presents for the right age and gender.
