looks nice still out there

Post by kennycapes »

Been home some 4 weeks now but keep checking the website to see how things are.
What is the weather like out there at the moment, looks like there has been sunny days for a bit.

Can wait to return next spring

Kenny, it was beautifully sunny and hot when I left on Sunday evening, so imagine it is still lovely there :)
Just as the 'HEAT' hit me, when I landed at Faro on Sept 5th....so the 'COLD' hit me, when I eventually got to Stansted at 4am Mon. Morning !
Its cold, wet, and miserable here today in Lincs, and we have the heating on!
So from tired, chilly mortal ellie, dreaming of sunny Algarve..Im off to put my socks on

Just looked on the weathercam, wish I was out there now. It does look lovely and sunny. Ellie, it's a bit of a shock to the system coming back to rain and cold after sunny CVO isn't it?

Methinks Kennycapes, you're now deliberately making a spelling mistake  :?: (obviously I spotted it! :) )

Returned to the UK last night having spent two weeks sunbathing, swimming, playing golf etc etc. Now sitting in my office looking at the rain - and it's cold outside!!!!!!! I know where I would rather be.

After almost a month in CVO I was really 'acclimatising' and could not believe how cold I felt on my return....
Like Tom, I'm sitting here, looking out bedroom window at the drizzle and chill winds..also the darkening skies..and its just occurred to me, we put clocks back in a couple of weeks, oh gawd now Im really depressing myself. I do detest the short dark days do you?
and if anyone mentions Christmas..........Ill scream ! :x

Im not sure about the 'Yorkshire' bit Michael, but maybe Im picking up some 'Lincs'?
From an old lad here 'int village'..I get ' Eh oop lass, 'ows it going?'. when hes out walking his sheepdog (No, not eco  )...and I think today, he would call the weather a bit 'blathering'(windy?) Must confess, thats always a new one on me,as I thought it mean't 'talking'..
or maybe he was saying that I was 'blathering' (that would be no surprise)

Thanks Jeremy ...the box with the orange bar will do just nicely..how did you know that?! :)
As I look out t'window now, its 'orrible...darkening skies, raining...I am so missing 'muito sol', all that lovely sunshine and blue sky, the sand in the little bay ahhhhh
But this is England, and autumn seems to be really setting in...but I did see a beautiful Red Admiral in the bushes today :)
