Travel Insurance

Hi

We are trying to get some sort of travel insurance in Portugal. ie looking for cover across Europe. Our starting and finishing destination is Portugal.
We have tried Medal insurance and the quote was literally hundreds of euros each!!! Which has prompted this enquiry

Any other suggestions..please?

Have you tried a UK company with "Euro" cover. Might sound silly but if you start and finish in Europe, can't see the problem. I'm sure someone will put me right !

Hi Mike...the UK companies we tried..you had to start your journey in UK.

but will try a couple more. there is always a loophole in insurance when you read the small print.

Just tried Direct Travel who we insure with no luck but they did recommend ring the Travel Insurance Association who maybe able to help or point in the right direction. 0044 208 446 5414. Best of luck.

When I looked earlier in the year I found one or two internet companies which would offer cover to people living outside the UK. It would be worth trying a google search.

not sure what kind of premium you will get as I don't know how long etc. you are going for, but it didn't seem too expensive.

Have a look at www.worldwideinsure.com as an example. Try a search for travel insurance for EU residents.
