Mothballs!!

Hi

Strange topic I know...but we are plagued by moths which get into the wardrobes and lunch on our clothes. the smell of the white moth deterants are gross...which in turn makes the whole house smell musty....

HAs anyone any ideas on alternative methods for deterring moths...herbal would be nice...but super market ready is just as fine at the mo...

Hiya Piglet, we use the ones from the supermarket that you can hang in the wardrobe, I can't remember who makes them but they come in a box with little plastic hanger to put them in, they are blue/purple in colour and are about 2" x 1" you peel off the back and that lets the gel inside permeate into the air. They last about a month before you have to replace them. Sorry can't remember the name but they are usually in the same isle as the mossie killers. Hopes that helps.

Hiya Piglet, they smell of lavender and are really nice, quite cheap too. Seem to do the work as well.

Cedar wood is a very good deterrent, you can buy balls, discs or hangers. Not only effective but beautiful too.

Lavender, rosemary, peppermint/spearmint all work well.

Hi ...the Rosemary, Lavender and cedarwood sound lovely. I grow 2 of the 3 in my garden!!
