I know I harp on about this but..... I would change the plastic red chairs and tables in front of Smilers for some nice white parasols and wooden chairs and tables - instant improvement to the square

:) Round, well you can roll down the hill like a football, going back up ,well I suggest the reverse, someone will have to direct a good swift kick up the xxxx of your round shape, someone preferably as good as Steven Gerrard or Wayne Rooney !! 8) :o

I think I would first of all prohibit parking on the pavement on the rua do farol at least on one side to avoid people walking on the middle of the road .also lay down "lombas " ( don´t you call them "sleeping policemen" in the UK ? )to avoid idiots speeding there as well.remember the motorbike accident ?(by the way, don´t think the guy was punished for killing the 2 women yet.still walks happily around ) and rearrange the sequence at the trafficlights near the intermarche.

OK Elite;
I agree with you. If I stand for candidate vote for me and I'll fullfill your wishes! :!: (the only problem for you is that you also have to park normaly when your in town and better sell your Scénic and buy a 45km Micro Car :) )

An other solution would be to build a public parking garage with at least 250 parking spots next to the Mirachoro Hotel (maybe there are some subsidies to get from the EU) and prohibit all the parking at Estrada do Farol from the square till the Mirachoro Hotel. And make it a one-way street from the taxi-stand up-hill till the crossing with Rua do Cerro (at Laterna Velha) (Gives also more space to the terraces).

Sounds like quite a smart plan Peter.

When you are mayor, will you accept bribes to award the building contract to my Car Park Construction company ?

Hi e-richard,

Suppose the idea will come real (and I will become mayor of CVO) and there will not longer be the possibility to park at all at the Estrada do Farol

Let's start a DuBri company (Dutch-British) in developing, building and exploiting a Parking Garage with 3 floors with each +/- 80 parking places; then 3 floors with T1, T2 and T3 appartments (for sale) and a 7th floor with penthouses (also for sale), and a swimming pool at the roof. In the parking there should be parking space for the appartments reserved (for sale).

What about this idea? I'm not in for a bribe, but always willing to accept "small tokens of attention".

PS. From this moment on (11.09.06 18:46) copyright © and trademark ® and patent on this idea is mine.

PS2. I'm sure Elite will sponsor us with a free kitchen in our office in the building!

Looks like Elite don't want the contract for all kitchens in the T1, T2 apartments.....

If this project goes ahead and while I am mayor, I expect lots of "undeclared" profits :P. Why else would I want the job

Any other offers ?

I would make it a criminal offence for a taxi to say 'be there in ten minutes' and then arrive an hour later after three prompting phone calls :x

Richard, ignore this comment from Elite! I know him; he doesn't mean it; Normaly he is a nice guy and I love him sometimes (I love his wife and daughter even more) he is just a little bit jealous that he didn't come up with the idea I have! I'll correct him next time I'm in CVO. He has to install a kitchen for € 0,00!!! And Richard mind you: I am going to be the next mayor of CVO!! :!:

Look boys, we've been here before. Every year we have the election race between Peter and anyone else who is interested, You didn't get voted in last year Peter, so if you want to succeed this year, we need to see your manifesto, and yours too e-richard. ( and don't think free kitchens are going to get you votes Elite)

Dear Pete, when you start with" he is a nice guy and I love him sometimes", believe me, that scares the hell out of me !!!!!
So lets get one thing straight ; I don´t do free kitchens to corrupt politicians , and sweet tricky I don´t want any votes at all .....however I don´t mind donating a new microwave to the Pirilampos !!!!!!!! So Peta, if interested you can come and collect it from my shop in Lagoa ...
politicians brrrrrrrrrr...

p.s. peter, next time bring me some more rookvlees en katenspek ????
