Bonsoir Ellie. All this chat about french foo is melting my chocolate.As far as I'm concerned you can dress a french tart(or pie)with what you like but lick(sorry)spoon away the cream or custard and what you hve left is the mst satisfying part.

Im sure Guest will be greatly disappointed Rod---he/she was trying to "draw you out" and unsuccessfully it would seem. But surely you have an opinion on French cuisine& the culinary arts in general--tarts or otherwise?

Getting back to our dear Carvoeiro--can anyone tell me please---is Romas and L'Orange restaurants open during Christmas period and will they have Christmas din din--or will it be usual menu?

He knows his grits and Im sure he knows his onions!
You also know now-that you wont be tempting Rod--he has bigger/better fish to fry!

Anyway--lets get back to subject--originally "Sunday Roast"--but taking in other dishes too--name of the game is quality food.
D'you like traditional Christmas dinner -turkey et al---or maybe something quite different?
I prefer a large Capon-much more taste--and moister than turkey--beautiful bird.
ive never had Goose--think its traditional in Germany.
I like my Christmas dinner on the night of Christmas Eve --now that we dont have young kids around--that night is quite magical--atmospheric.
How do I find out if L'Orange or Romas is open Christmas please?
Does anyone know?As Im sure we will have to book.Thanks,Ellie

Jaysus i,ve just reread the last couple of posts,no wonder you are pissed at me ellie but it wasn,t ment like that,years ago we were in a cafe in dublin with a load of large americans.....look i wont make a long story boring. .........bottom line is i wasn,t refering to cowboy atall.....but now at least i know what they were eating.By the way this yoke has locked me out and to be honest i don,t know how to get back in.
