I think the minimum wage is just under 400 euros per month - maybe someone else can be more precise?

I was going to say, how on earth do you manage on that? But maybe you are a good manager with money?
I remember (a long way back now) having to 'manage' on very low income indeed. But somehow I (we ) survived. Our kiddies were bonny & strong, but H & I did go through a time when we went to bed hungry. You never forget that. It makes you a 'survivor'..and I try never to waste food.
I hope you have better times to come

That seems very little to live on indeed! Is that a month?
Are the living costs less where you are so it kind of balances itself or is still very little?
The minimum wage in UK for 18+ is £5.25

gosh that seems awful - but does it seem about the same in england because the living costs are less?
Is it difficult to get above the minimum wage?

Living costs are lower here, but unfortunately not enough to compensate for the much lower wages.

You ask how I live on such a low wage.....I don't , I was just advising you how much I take from the company which by law one must take so I take the minimum wage.

usually you then need either to have two jobs at the same time or to
share your living costs with your partner who is having a job as well
besides that you have to keep the transport costs, appartment costs and food costs as low as possible...
