Electricity account

Can anyone advise us as to what is involved in changing the electricity account into our names from the previous owner of our apartment in Carvoeiro. We are coming back to Cvo in September to do this but just wanted to know what to expect first. Is there anything which we could do by post in the meantime to make life easier?

i went to portimao to do it they wanted my passport,house deeds,old elec bill,contrib number went quite easy over 3 visits
first visit closed [they close in the middle of the day check times]
second visit no deeds
third visit all done ok 15 mins
this was 3 months ago i belive you can do now over the internet but you need to be able to read portugeese
