Steel/Aluminium Doors

After a recent Gas inspection, we have now been "instructed" to remove the wooden doors covering the (brickbuilt) housing for our gas bottles.

Since it is unfortunately at the front of the house and unsightly, we are now looking to have aluminium (white) doors/shutter fitted.
Its probably a bespoke size, and I've been quoted 510 Euro incl IVA.

Sounds a lot to me.

Anybody have any suggestions/ideas or recommendations for where to go for alternate quote ? Or is that a good price ?

sounds very high to me...had a quote for three shutters (which are the same thing really) . 750 euros

who gave you the quote .if it came via a management agency they have no doubt loaded it.

there are loads of aluminium door makers around..just drive around and go to portimao or silves or go to a building site and ask who is supplying the windows and doors.

Thanks for the quick response Martin. Although if you had a quote for 3 Shutters at €750. That sounds identical to my quote for two at €510, including the framework.

Sounds like we'll go for a drive and keep our eyes open. Mind you, thats sometimes difficult if you don't know what you're looking for. What sort of place did you have in mind - or rather what may they have on a sign outside ? I'm sure you have the right idea - its just us putting it into action that may be the weak link

sorry didnt realise it was for 2..well maybe not so bad...anyway I would drive to look at some new housing going up somewhere and ask there

or wait until the fatacil in august..

most of the aluminium places I know are in back streets of towns
