Jailhouse
Jailhouse
Found the piece below on the Jailhouse on a holiday review website…
We always try and spend an evening there when we are in town – was in there over the weekend, and this place is always lively with a fun atmosphere. Dave AKA Bobby, is obviously a very talented musician and plays a wide variety of songs spanning many styles and eras. He very often has guest musicians in, and is not averse to handing over his guitar to those who are brave enough to have a go at the odd number themselves. Will certainly be back there for glass or two late this month (more Free songs Bobby plse) and would thoroughly recommend that newcomers to Carvoeiro give it a try…..

''The middle-aged muso from Yorkshire I mentioned earlier is Bobby Stardust and he owns a bar called the Jailhouse. This is a Carvoeiro institution, and Bobby sings live every night. He's an affable fellow and is quite happy to chat to the customers in between songs - and he tells terrible jokes too. If you happen to be from Goole (which I'm not) and tell him where you come from, he'll treat you to a free drink. This is also a good place to watch football as it has a large projector screen downstairs and a couple of televisions upstairs, although not all of the matches are screened.'

Jailhouse
Each to their own Wolfie, but judging by the high number of regulars, many of whom are clearly players themeselves , or at least music lovers, I don't think the place would survive too long if the music was off key, or incredidaly loud. But as I say each to his own.....
