Any good wines in Carvoeiro?
In the UK I usually drink dry white or rose wine. I also like red but nothing too full bodied - does anyone have recommendations for some local wine in Carvoeiro?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Hi Puddleduck....like Ellie I am no expert but I do like a bottle or two of a white called Marquise de Borba (not sure if thats the correct spelling) delicious with some grilled sardines and salad. The red of the same name is pretty good too. As for local wines, well I suppose Sir Cliffs wines come under that banner. I tried the rosé recently but found it a bit sweet for my taste.

There are some very nice local wine from Lagoa Coperative ask locally.
Wines fron Alentejo providence just north of the Algarve are very popular, there is red and white. Some popular ones are Redondo, Borba and Monte Velho. Vinho verde is from north Portugal and translated is 'green wine' All are good depends on prefrence. Saude!
