new drains and sewage

Hi Does anyone know whats happening is there a new sewage treatment plant and how serious will it be in terms of pong?

Latest technology makes sewerage fairly pong free but I think we may see a few extra Richards floating near the beach (that's Richard the thurd).

I think that was the whole point of the new sewage works, to stop sewage being dumped in the sea. I notice that this year, Carvoeiro beach has been awarded the equivalent of a Blue Flag, the sea is clean and safe there or so I believe. I'm sure some of the residents can back me up

I think they're tunneling to Australia so it could be some time.
