Been a regular at A Marisqueira for several years and it is noticable how much more busy it had become, particularly over the past 2 to 3 years.
However, there has been no compromise in the quality or service; the grilled sole is still the best in town. For evening meals we always call in at lunchtime or phone late afteroon to reserve a table.

Just returned from Carvoeiro and ate there 11 times out of 14 ( two other days they were closed - Sundays and the other night we had just had enough of eating so settled for beans on toast. ) Excellent value for money, very friendly service and top notch food , topped off with several pints of Sagres in the restaurant and next door in Acordeao Bar. Damn ! we are missing the Karaoke night. Great two weeks, roll on May when we shall return.

I'm coming out four weeks on Sunday and was wondering if this restaurant is open on Sunday Evenings as I seem to recall it wasn't when we came last year. Is it never open Sunday Evenings or is it a seasonal thing does anyone know. Thanks

Hi, as far as I know it's closed on Sundays - always...

Cheers, Burkhard.

Is this the one opposite the Primavera at the top of the hill? If so, that is under my apartment that I have just bought. So - very pleased to hear it is a nice restaurant, and at least I know who to blame if it gets too noisy! In fact, I have just realised that this is the restaurant where I have to push their fish display out of the way to get to my front door. So if you see someone struggling through the tables with a suitcase on Friday next week, please stop me and say hello :D

This is a great little restaurant, I always have the fish soup & usually the fish of the day, excellent value for money & good service.

fmm enjoy your new apartment I can think of worst places to live above. :D
