Post by SJ & RE »

:) I have a uk/european disabled car parking badge. Does anyone know whether or not to bring it and if it is viable to use it in Portugal please. :P

We always take one but to be honest, there aren't the same parking restrictions as in the UK and there tend to be big carparks with plenty of space or very busy streets with no available parking. We have left the car in restricted areas for long periods of time without a problem.

There are disabled parking bays in Tavira but you have to pay if you use a meter.

Incidentally, they recognise UK badges in Florida but prefer that they are hung from the rear view mirror.

I have one and I do use it. It is valid in Portugal. There are some disabled parking spaces around and in most car parks and I do find them useful.
