A Place in the Sun: Home or Away

Foster parents Lee and Barbara James have worked very hard to save up for a holiday home where they can take their foster-children. They have to decide whether to buy in Snowdonia and have a lot of weekend breaks or buy in the western Algarve and have a few weeks in the sun each year.

the apartment in the algarve won..looked nice but I wonder how much is the service charge for all the things they have going on at the place..seems that steve davis has bought an apartment and gave a billiard table to the place

Hardly a fair competition

Yeah, I also watched it with the same conclusion. The presenter was quick with "potential rental income", but totally ignored the myriad of outgoings. Hope the couple who decided to buy do their sums before signing up.

Mind you, it did look like a lovely place and a good price.

This was a repeat from last year, it would be interesting to know how they are doing & how much the property would cost now.
