saw this afternoon very nice and tall bronze man and "ceramic" circles (I think) statue opposite Fatacil ...when did it appear.?

A couple of weeks back. I guess it is to represent an artisan making some sort of object in "barro"? He is sort of rolling a large pot thingy! Nice innit? Can't wait to see the Camara budget to see what it cost! :wink:

Drove past it the first week it was up with a portuguese friend, I liked it he didn't think much of it at all, thought it was a wast of money, I don't necessarily agree, the area relies on tourism & I think the tourists will like it.

I like it! At least you can see what it is unlike some of the stuff they bang on roundabouts. What about that rusty one in Silves?

It has a name plate now. It is called "O Oleiro" - The potter and sure enough he has just made a blooming great pot
