FIRST OFF, WHAT A GOOD SITE FOR INFO . WE ARE COMING BACK TO CARVOEIRO THIS MAY(FIRST TIME WE HAVE BEEN ANYWERE TWICE)MUST BE GOOD.THIS TIME WE BRINGING THE BROTHER IN LAW WHO FOUND OUT EARLYER THIS YEAR HE HAS MND HE HAS DIFFICULTY WALKING AND WE ARE TRYING TO LOCATE RESTAURANTS THAT HAVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS OR NOT MANY STEPS CAN ANYBODY RECOMEND ANY THAT HAVE ACCESS AND SERVE GOOD FOOD

It will depend if you have a car. If you want to go into CVO centre, I think it will be the hills that will be the problem. On the flat, there is Ele & Ela on the 'out' road, and others in the same area. If you're driving out of town there are more: La Bella Vita; Rocha Brava; Brasserie Marinha etc. I don't think any of them have ramps but the ones above have only 1 or 2 steps.

We can then advise local suitable restaurants.

Having said that, very few have more than one or two steps to negotiate - it may be easier to advise the few which are unsuitable. Even then you will generallly find the staff very helpful in assisting you.

P.S. Bistro Algar Seco where we meet on Thursday evenings has no steps and a fantastic view.

O Cantino, very easy acess. Chef Antonio, they have a ramp albeit a bit steep. A Rede is another one but it really does depend on where your staying. Just thought about Primavera, expensive (ish) but easy to negotiate. All the best and enjoy your stay.
PS. O Patio by the main beach. Expensive but would appear to be popular with other forum members. Not me though.
