dognapping

Post by martin »

on the 25th april , my pedigree portuguese pointer dog never came back after lunch...seems that it has been dognapped as there are no houses nearby it could have gone to.

I am told that may pedigree dogs are stolen here - for those with pedigree dogs please take care

I do hope it hasn't been dognapped and that you get it back soon. I'd hate to lose Jak, so I can imagine how you feel.

 Hello Martin, any news on your dog? What a terrible thing if it has been dog napped, hope he is just lost and will find his way back to you.

Hi Martin,
I have just spotted your post. We will ask around and keep a sharp eye. Can you give an idea please of his age, is he chipped and has he been spayed. What is his colour(s) Better still can you possibly post a picture of him on here and better still on Luke's Silves forum?
I do not wish to alarm you, but a friend of ours cat recently feel into an uncovered water tank, fairly near you. Luckily, its cries were heard.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us, if we can be of any help.

I had no idea that was going on here. I knew it was happening in the UK.
What area are you in and do you have a photo?

sorry dont know how to put photo on here...have put poster up at arc de noa vets in messines and at local shop in lavajo. spent two days looking and asking around..nada

dog is called "honey" .female red collar about 4 years old...honey by name and colour ..breed portuguese pediguero. ..no chip but she is spade but according to local dog charity most pedigrees are dognapped for breeding but when it is found out they cant have pups then dumped

anyway we hope no one is cruel to her as when we found her she was abandoned and starving.

Hi from a Newbie. I registered here for two reasons. 1. My daughter and family are hoping to move to Carvoeiro soon. 2. If Martin can email a picture of the dog, I'll link it to a site so all can see.

I hope the dog turns up, it must be very distressing to lose it.

Mods. I've put the details about the lost dog on our website relating to villa rental in Ghia. Will it be ok to put a link directly to the relevant page please?

I've stuck the photo and details here

Perhaps, if you have friends in the Silves-Messines area, you could email the link to them and ask them to keep an eye out.

I just hope that Martin gets Honey back as soon as possible.
