I have it on good authority from residents of Cvo that business isn't exactly booming at the moment and this has been a very quiet season.

I'd have thought that anyone wishing to visit Cvo who hasn't visited before would be encouraged to come and visit after viewing the website and coming across intelligent information and humour from 'rogues' living in various parts of the world as diverse as Texas,Oman,Canada,South Africa, Holland,Germany,Torquay :!:  And we mustn't forget the very friendly Cvo. residents who do a great job in welcoming us far too often and which is why most of us return as often as we can :D

we were there last week and personally i found it very average.i had a gin and tonic (the gin from unknown origin) plus the seats outside very uncomfortable whilst the latest episode of eastenders finished on the tely.just after we arrived a paul o'grady character appeared with dyed bonde hair and a natty white jacket with bold blue stripes.would this be louie??

Tried it last week early doors before wandering over to Cantino for dinner. I thought the advertising of "British Food and Drinks" had long passed, sadly it hasn't. The gin and tonics were both brands I'd never seen before and were not pleasant to the taste. The whole place looked scruffy which included some of the clientel. To be honest it looked like someones turned up in a transit van with a mixed bag of tables and chairs and opened 20 minutes later! Give it a miss and go to either flic flak or the Carvoeiro bar which are either side. Mike, Chislehurst.

Mike

Spot on with the bar's to keep going to!

I have it on good authority that my sister and her little possy have been rat arsed in both for most of the week :!:

The Vodka & Laranja in the Carvoeiro bar is a joy to behold and being able to pick the music is ace. :D

Went last night. Sure is screwy.

We ended up with a table of 10 residents there sat outside and he kicked us out at 1am as he hasn't got a late licence!

Flic Flac was still cracking on next door!

As usual the subject has been lost on the rogues, you can´t spit the pips till you´ve tasted the apple, in other words try out Screwylouie´s for yourself and then talk on the subject.

Strange response that, I thought there were at least 3 people that had. The problem with this bar is that there is very little on the optics that you would recgognise! Mike

Went to see the new place last week, not a typical tourist trap like so many other bars in CVO, more like a place to go and meet the new owner, young guy with lots of bottle to open so late in season. Has future plans for his bar, breakfast absolutely brilliant, you must try out his chillie vodka. No trouble meeting Louis, just be open and honest and not like a junior reporter sneaking round to find anything you can write that isn't quite what you like.
