Help with bicycle !!!

Post by Inga »

Dear All,

On the 5th of Oct, there will be a biking event in Lagoa. I'm so much keen to take part in it ! Yet I haven't been biking for a while, nor I've got a bike - postponing all the time purchase of it (just because I'm ignorant about modern bikes :( ...) and now I'm afraid I'm too short in time.
So, if you:
1) have an old bike and want to offer it to me or lend;
2) have a reasonable bike to sell;
3) know where to get a good quality bike (oh, but what is "good" then ?);
please write at arbutus.unedo@netc.pt.
All those ones (bikes) with more gears than sense (it seems like this to me... :? ) simply scare me.
Has anyone a good advice ?

Thank you so cordially. Inga

I think Biffa might be able to help, he has had more than his fair share of old bikes :twisted:

Where's your bicycle Vicar" I said, (because it was the first time I had seen him walking in 10 years!).
"Don't know, I think it might have been stolen, but I will get it back on Sunday" he replied. "At my next sermon I will go through the ten commandments. When I get to 'thou shalt not steal' God will sort it out, I've got faith"
The following week, sure enough he was riding the bike again. So I asked him if the ten commandments thing had worked as planned: "I got as far as thou shall not commit adultery.......then I suddenly remembered where I left the bike.."
