channel 4 ..soon (Now confirmed 19.4)
soon on ...but not confirmed in the listings as yet (see below)... is "Selling Homes" show about a house in Lagoa.
An article about the makeover is in this months GoodLife magazine...looks very nicely done but it seems that whilst it looks good the workmanship is of the "stage set " standard ie as long as it hold up for a short period its ok.
"top level sources" tell me that the house has not sold...apparently a lot of furniture went into storage for 6 weeks (paid for the show producers) so as to give a declutter free vision.

Hi Martin,
The house in question belongs to friends of mine and it is nicely done up, but the producers dont pay for everything - my friends had to put up a sum of money before they were accepted for the show.
I dont know who your 'top level sources' are but as my friends have lived here for over 20 years, they have accumulated a lot of furniture and bric-a-brac and pets etc - as you do- so yes some had to go into storage. I'm not sure myself when the program will be aired, bit I'm seeing them this weekend so will post it on here once I find out.

so at last here is the advance information from channel 4
programme is on 19th April 8pm
20:00 SELLING HOUSES 4/5 Tonight it's another case of international rescue for property expert Andrew Winter. He's clocking up those frequent flyer miles jetting across Europe to help three British property owners whose sun has set on their dream of new lives in warmer climes. First up Andrew meets Rebecca Andrade and her mum Janice, who have been trying to find a buyer for their four-bedroom townhouse in the Portuguese town of Lagoa for over two years. Could it be that it's the location that's been putting off house hunters? Considering the house overlooks a swamp and a cement factory, plus it also leaks when it rains, maybe that's a good bet. Next, Andrew travels to southern Spain to help the Bradshaw bunch, whose dreams of a relaxing family life in the sun are being threatened by a new development next door. Andrew also meets up with Richard and Claire Mills. Having sunk Richard's pension fund into buying their dream retirement property, a medieval tower in the Languedoc Rousillon region in France, all looked perfect, until they discovered two huge cracks in the tower that had been hidden, meaning it's literally falling down. It's up to a straight-talking Andrew to help them find their way out of their housing horrors. Exec Prod; Nick Emmerson; Series Prod; Sue Dulay; Dirs: Rob Butterfield, Dan Roland; Prod Co: Ricochet

Hi Martin,
Just spoke to Rebecca Andrade last night and she didnt even know when it was going to be on - she said Channel 4 seemed to be a bit 'cagey' as to when it would be aired exactly. I can't find that info that you got from the channel 4 website - could you possibly paste the link?
Thanks, John.
