They're going to re-mortgage and rent out their Bristol home, plough in all their savings, and spend £180,000 on a property to which they want to re-locate, and that must also be big enough to run as a profitable youth hostel for backpackers and surfers. They've been to Portugal before and fallen in love with its laidback lifestyle, but this is the biggest decision of their lives.
