You can get fresh "single" cream in Modelo in Silves sometimes, but I don't think it whips or anything...I don't believe I just said that...when was the last time I cooked a cheesecake?

Yuk, Elmlea is reconstituted veg oil or some such muck. Why is English food so awful?

Oh I don't know. A good old roastbeef and yorkshire roast dinner takes some beating?..and certainly beats what ' The HairyBiker' cooks were noshing on Wed. in Saigon! :
Nice fat maggots, still alive and wriggling. This was one of the starters.
Then there were deep fried Scorpion,
followed by Goat's Penis (just as it comes..everything intact, no frills),
Then main course, good old Snake Stew.....washed down by some lethal brew, the bottle of which contained yet another dead reptile..
Mmmmm..yummy :P
Sorry about this Mods..but wasn't sure where to place this..should be chitchat..
maybe we could start a thread..whats the weirdest food you've ever eaten?

I know that the Ali-Super near Albufeira stocks real single cream (it is Dutch I think but it's just like the English stuff).
