Can anyone recommend a place to buy ready made curtains or someone who will measure up and make them for apartment in Carvoeiro.

Is this place easy to find, since curtains are our next priority. We would be approaching Ferragudo on the coast road from CVO.

It's on the right on the bend as you head out of Ferragudo towards Portimao. It's not a shop but a workshop where she makes everything to order. You'll need to look for the yellow and red sign on the wall next to the aluminium doors. Maybe better to ring first to make sure shes there.

It's a good idea to give her a ring anyway, as she will come out to your place with fabric samples, measure up, and give you quote.

Yes she does, she did some for one of my clients last year and they were very pleased with them.

I did see some nice stuff at Algarve Shopping/Industrial Estate area last night. There was more than I expected, as when I originally got curtains for my cottage, there wasn't much choice. I am looking to replace mine and was pleasantly surprised to find some nice ones in O Gato Preto, Warehouse, Casa etc. Not sure if they would be your sort of thing, Brian, as my taste is very casual and I am not into fussy/frilly stuff.

My friend Ileish does great curtains, bedspreads, sofas, etc and I think she has a range of ready made curtains (in fact I KNOW she does 'cos I saw her making them!!). Pop into Dirty Nelly's and have a word with her, I'm sure she'll be able to help
