HERBAL MEDICINES ETC:-

http://www.denes.co.uk/about/our_products.php

Yogi suffers with the following problems and I use Denes Products, who imho are excellant. The Company is in Hove, East Sussex, England. You can order items from them and they will post them to you here in Portugal and charge you a small amount for postage. Or if you have your order sent to a UK address and the order exceeds £40 then it is a free delivery. So when you know someone is coming out they can bring your order with them:-

Yogi is 10 years old and has had his spleen removed.....on occasion he gets stiff on his back legs (which unfortunately, is common with G.S and having had this organ removed has no doubt added to his problem)..added to which in the summer he suffers with a hot rash all over his body and inside his ears and I have found the following really helps him:-

See Link Above for Product Item/Quantity/Price:-

Greenleaf Tabs (I give 6 a day) for his stiffness and skin
Hot Itch Lotion..again for skin
and although he has todate not suffered with Mites..I also when his ears look a bit red and/or dry-flanky:-
Massage around the inside of his ears a little of the Mite Cream, which seems to cool the area down.

The above link site I have found very informative..but if you wish to call Denes help line the Tel No Is: 00 44 (0) 1273 325364
N.R.

ps Blue they also do a good Ear Wash. N.R.

 Maddi, our two cats now, Molly and Poppy, when we first had them from the animal sanctuary were called Bangers and Mash!!!
With your Bubble and Squeak we could make a good dinner ! :?

kteee, I am really sorry to hear about Barney, I hope he makes a full recovery and that he is soon running around again. How long will he need the cast on?

Thanks Lesley. He actually managed to remove the cast so we took him back to the vet and they agreed that he could manage without it now, as long as he doesn't go rushing around! So he is now going out for short walks on a lead, like a 'normal' dog, and otherwise stays in the garden.

Since Nick and I have been together we have had -

Sabre (GSD),
Gem (lab/GSD cross),
Samson (retriever),
Lucy (moggy),
Camões (one-eyed moggy).
Ginger (moggy),
Tinker (moggy),
Minnie (moggy),
Barney (mongrel),
Cindy (moggy),
Harry (moggy)

all the cats have been Portuguese strays - never had a cat in the uk!

Yes, She likes to go for my ankle in a playfull way when I put her lead on to take her for walk. I am told that she has a lot of "Shitzu" in her by our dog groomer. May be that's why I go through so many poop bags ???
