by my trusty rain gauge in the last two days we have had four & qtr inches of rain (about 11cm)

thus so far for this winter season the running total is 64 cm

Sounds good Martin, perhaps we won't hear too many cries of drought this year! Out of interest, knowing how local rain can vary so much out there, exactly where are you?

messines area..which does seem to get more rainfall than other places (sorry to pour cold water on the stats)

however despite the rain the resident still says (see this weeks issue) that a drought persists
