Can someone let me know what the VAT threshold is please.

Assume you are talking about UK VAT, Mike. The limit was set at £60,000 from 1st April 2005. This is the total value of taxable sales.

Thanks everyone, I'm surprised it's that low and makes it a bit tricky filling out the PT tax return etc. ie get roped into the vat problem. Rental income on most villas will exceed this.

Please note that the normal holiday type rental income is not subject to IVA/VAT. Be very careful not to get involved with IVA for this type of income. You should get some specialist advice
