If you'd have looked in my very helpful FAQ you would have discovered it's exact location on the free map:

Mungo's Music Bar - n/k No17

Talking of which, has anyone seen either Peter or Marion the original owners. Bumped into Peter about two years ago outside Cantino and had a good ol chat.

Last I heard Peter was making a fortune in Property and is based over in Lagos. I think he and Marion still live over by ALTO Golf in Alvor.

Cheers Sam, that's the impresssion I got the last time I saw him, about 18 months ago. He still goes into Mungos which is good. Perhaps he bought it back! Mike

Bit of dreamin the dream is it not.
Mungos and others in Carvoeiro. Never saw Mungos as a place that was ever going to make a decent living. Every time I visit and that is various times of year - it is never really busy. Something missing about the place - perhaps atmosphere! Which is be all and end all in a pub.

I have been told that Mungo's is going to be completely refurbished.
I hope the new owners do well in their new venture :D

Yes,you're right.Atmosphere is everything!
I was in there the end of September and it was a quiz night(which I always enjoy)..and the fella who ran the quizz (is it Steve? :? ) was doing his best and kept things lively.....but the owner, barman seemed a bit morose? But maybe he had problems?
Its made me think atmosphere etc..in my 20s I was offered a job as pianist at a pub in the Old Kent Rd.The money was good..and with 2 little 'uns would have been very useful! But H didn't want me do it. As a young woman, he thought me vulnerable in that atmosphere...my how times have changed!
I wish the new owners lotsa luck too and I hope they make a go of it,I really do :)
