FAQ - Useful or what?

I'd like a bit of feedback on the FAQ. This is aimed at those that have had reason to use it.

If you are a member, you can vote, if you are a 'guest' you'll have to give your 'vote' in a reply.

Also, if you have any (sensible!) suggestions to improve it or would like to see certain content, please let me know.

Personally I think it is very good, but I wouldn't have looked at it unless you told me to on here - I think of FAQs as something different, don't know why - I would think of that board more as "CARVOEIRO GUIDE" or "USEFUL FACTS"... etc. When I saw FAQs I just assumed it was about the forum or site, rather than the place.

Sorry if that's not very helpful..

No I don't think that is unhelpful at all - just the sort of feedback that helps the site adminsistrators make the site more user friendly ( would Carvoeiro FAQs be a better signpost?).

It would have been excellent if the three people who gave FAQs a very low score could have given some feedback on where and how it was inadequate, in that way they would have helped to contribute to improving it for everybody.

The IP (Investors in People) type automated surveys don't let you move on without qualifying your statement if you give the lowest score although I am aware that phpBB doesn't work like that which is a shame as I am sure that Steen would have been grateful to receive feedback on how FAQs could be improved.

I think that the FAQ section is excellent! We are planning to come to Carvoeiro for our honeymoon and this section has helped us out a lot in terms of planning. Thank you!

I have voted that it is very good, but I do think that maybe it does need to be re-named, FAQ is usually a term I would think was more for questions on the use of the site rather than asking questions related to the forum and to living/visiting Carvoeiro. Just my opinion!

Thanks for the feedback. I strive to keep it accurate and up-to-date.

I would like the persons who voted 'poor' to contact via me PM and tell me where it falls down in their opinion and what I can do to improve it. If I'm doing something wrong I'd like to know.

Upon reflection I also think perhaps FAQ is the wrong title. Perhaps something ike, Carvoeiro Information with the subtext, Answers to your questions about Carvoeiro and the Algarve.

No doubt Steen will consider any changes necessary.
