Rascals Bar - Sponsors?

Post by Michael Crane »

Are the new owners aware of the good comments their establishment is attracting? Perhaps they could be approached to re-sponsor the forum and set up their own little bit.

From what I can make out the bar is going to do well and can only benefit from an enhanced profile on this forum. Of course, it'd have to be properly Moderated, but that's hardly a mammoth task.

So come on, Rascal's new owners. How about it?

Who knows, I might even start frequenting it . . . . . on second thoughts, perhaps not - I don't want profits to plummet when people stop going in just to avoid me.

Good idea that Michael re the sponsorship. Me thinks they might be a little short on cash at the moment. However, it's worth a punt and I'll be checking it out in March (13th-16th)

I've been in most evenings this week. Rachel and Sergio are well aware of the good comments flying around, and are considering where to spend the "advertising budget" including CVO.com.

Make sure you pay a visit when you're next in town.

... now there is some (more) simple free advertising

Awww Sharen. You did a great job scaling that hill for the treasure hunt.

Think of it this way...this time there's a glass of bubbly at the other end!

Has Rascal's Bar changed hands since last June? I was taken there by my son and decided that I never wanted to darken their doors again. The 'clientel' appeared to be teenagers very much the worse for wear due to either drink/drugs or both and the music was awful. The only redeeming feature was the girl behind the bar who looked liked she had stepped off page 3 of The Sun (with an additional item of clothing or two)!

I would like to write what I think as my two teenage girls visited rascals last Summer.
My daughters are 17 and 19 years of age, and myself and my husband felt there was no where
For them to go at night after we had dinner some of the other bars had live bands with old songs and the girls hated it. They found rascals and enjoyed it very much they told us it had the music they liked and they met other girls and guys the same age, it is no different than any other bar in the UK for young people and I don’t think there is enough young bars in carvoeiro. For the lady that wrote of her daughter coming back drunk I think as a mother this is ridiculous as its down to you to make sure she is ok and herself for getting drunk. How can you blame any bar for getting someone drunk it is down to the individual how they take care of themselves.
We visited rascals in the day for lunch and the food was good as was the terrace, on our last
Evening our daughters asked us to come up for a drink there and have a cocktail, we saw the
Rapper that you may of mentioned and a teenage spotty kid is hardly a murderer. My husband
Is a police officer and I’m afraid there are drugs everywhere in Portugal and in England and
If your son or daughter is brought up to know the dangers of drugs by yourselves as parents
Then you can do no more than that. You will come across this everywhere, I just wanted to
Say that we are forgetting that this was a young, trendy bar for our young adults to go and enjoy themselves what really is wrong with that??

Is it because this forum is used mostly by a bunch of middle class old fogeys who disapprove of anyone under 30 enjoying themselves and having a drink (or two) but who appear to, at least according to the posts in this forum, to spend most evenings completely pissed themselves.

Thats absolutely disgraceful guest! My poor Cedric would spin in his grave at such talk! He idolised the ground I knitted on! My two -toned, low necked twinsets,& fresh water pearl necklace, had him break out in a cold sweats-- :P
I may not be in my first flush but I can get on down with the best of them, before my lips have barely touched a bi-cardy, or anything else come to that
But can I help it if men gather in groups with lust (and possibly a little fear :? ) in their eyes as I approach the Jailhouse bar?
Nature made me this way, so its no use fighting it!
Are you free friday night?
Love & kisses,
Cleopatra
in a barge, somewhere up the Arade.
Can anyone give me a lift to CVO ?
