Can anyone recommend a place?

Post by Summer »

Hello!! :) :) :)

I am looking for places throughout the Algarve really if anyone knows places other than Carvoeiro, to hold meetings. I have already been to the Tennis Club and Rocha Brava and both are on my list! I would particularly like to find somewhere similar in Lagoa, Loule and Albufeira.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Thank you

What sort of meetings? :?
If you let us know what for and for how many people might be able to give you some ideas.

They are for a slimmers club (hope that is ok, I do advertise on here though  ). I think around 10 people per meeting, possibly more?

Thanks

VDM would be if it had a gym, the car park is fine but the greens were very poor last time I saw them in September as were the general trees and foilage that surround it. no maitenance! Can't see them allowing anything like that. By the way I'm excluding the club house as that is totally impractical. Ask for the car park but don't expect the changing rooms. Not really a goer this.

Well, I don't know whether you gathered, but 'guest' wasn't me

VDM isn't really what I'm after. I am looking for a room, more like a village hall or community centre type thing, in Lagoa, Loule, Lagos and Albuferia, although I do realise this website is about Carvoeiro.

Thanks :D

Hi Summer,

Parish (Freguesia)Council offices are always a good source of knowledge.

The Reverend Eric Britt 289 366720 may be able to assist you in so far as
Lagos and Loule.

Lagoa area have you thought perhaps, of one of the hotels.... put it to them that it would be good publicity for their hotel etc....and as an example there is the Tivoli, Almansor, Lagoa details as follows:-

If you are successful, would you kindly post....... as it is always helpful information for others. Thank you.
Good Luck

Thanks Nightrider.

I will have a look at the hotels, I am sure they all have rooms. I guess there are hotels actually in Lagoa. Will try and get my hands on a phone book, as I haven't sorted out my internet connection properly yet

What about the community /sports centre in Ferragudo opposite the Ferragood Restaurant.

There is also a little municipal sports centre at Sesmarias, there always seems to be something going on there, day or evening. :)

No-one has suggested this so it may not be a goer in Portugal but here a lot of clubs use school premises in the evenings which helps the school coffers and tend to be much cheaper for the hirer.

Why not try Casa Domilu, nice hotel, good grounds with indoor swimming pool as well as outdoor. Small gym area and tennis courts.

Nice place
