James Bolam and his missus (actress wife who starred with him in 'When the Boat Comes In' - can't remember her name) were on our flight into Faro once - I think they have a villa near Faro. The 'Likely Lads' and 'Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?' were favourites of mine, way back when I was studying in Newcastle and enjoying Geordie humour (and beer).

We've seen Ken Bruce and Su Pollard in the area (not together!)
Think they were staying in the Benagil or Rocha Brava area.

My dad have pics of Cat Stevens playing guitar at Carvoeiro beach about 30 years ago:-) There are lots of footballers that got property in the Algarve like Luis Figo Michael Owen Alan Shearer Paul Ince Paul Scholes and so on.
