it will interesting to see how true the forecast is from yahoo (see below) for this weekend, is this the time to get my snowchains on the car I wonder?


Local Forecast - (How to Read This)

Today: Occasional light rain. High 59F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%.

Tonight: Light rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers overnight. Low 53F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 90%.

Tomorrow: Windy with rain likely. High 58F. Winds SE at 20 to 30 mph. Rainfall near a half an inch.

Tomorrow night: Occasional rain. Low near 45F. Winds ENE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 90%.

Saturday: Light rain. Highs in the low 50s and lows in the upper 30s.

Sunday: Rain mixed with snow. Highs in the mid 40s and lows in the upper 30s.

And the BBC says 12 degrees and sunny - makes you wonder who these people employ to forecast weather!!!!!.

well its seems it was right (almost) portuguses tv says snowing in lisbon for first time in 55 years, snow in evora and also lumps of ice/snow in monichque.

Nothern Portugal was covered in a blanket of snow today, while Lisbon and Evora recorded falls throughout the day. The Monchique mountain range in the Algarve, recorded 4cm of snow, the first to fall on the range for 23 years. Sub-zero temperatures are predicted for most of the country tonight, with the Lisbon City Hall closing three underground stations to house homeless people.

well according to yahoo at moment its 39 degrees (but feels like 29) ..now it has been raining...just wonder if drops a few more degrees I wonder if it would snow .

It would interesting, if such things as betting shops existed here, what the odds would be on it happening.

Yes and just saw -4ºC (sorry can't do Farenheit for you oldies :twisted: ) due for Portimão tonight...yikes, that means colder in the outback, Martin! :shock: Thermal vest out again. :D

And here in Ontario, Canada, in what normally is the dead of winter, we have been getting highs of 12 degrees, although today it's back down to 5!

I agree Showwie this has been an unusually warm winter in Ontario. I hope "they" turn the temp up in CVO as we are arriving in 3 weeks!

I have been in UK over the wekend but it was colder here this morning than in Naaaarfolk!!

Maybe this has already been posted but I hear there were massive traffic jams on Sunday to see the snow in Monchique and 30cms laying there today :shock:
